How it works

From the first consultation to maintenance and support after launch, we work with you in Japanese throughout. Emails can be in Japanese or English.

Timeframes for each step are a guide and depend on the size of the website or system and what you ask for.

  1. Free consultation Time: 30–60 minutes

Online (Zoom or similar), we hear about your current website or workflow, what is causing you trouble, your budget and your preferred timing.

If you are near Brisbane or the Gold Coast, we can also meet in person. If you send your current website address or any reference material beforehand, we can talk in more concrete terms.

Feel free to get in touch even if you have not yet decided exactly what you need.

  2. Quote & proposal Typically: about a week after the consultation

Based on our conversation, we set out the features and screens you need, a cost breakdown and a development timeline, and send you a written proposal in Japanese.

We can also provide the quote or proposal in English if needed. Once you have reviewed it and any questions are answered, we move to the next step.

  3. Agreement

Once you are happy with the proposal and quote, we sign an agreement setting out the scope of work, timeline and payment terms.

Payment is normally made in three instalments tied to project milestones. We explain the details when we sign the agreement.

  4. Design Typically: 1–2 weeks

We map out the screen layouts, input fields and how each feature works, and present them as designs for your review.

Agreeing on these before the build starts prevents misunderstandings and keeps development in line with what you want.

  5. Build & testing Typically: 2 weeks to 3 months

We build the website or system according to the design. During development, you can try finished screens and features on a preview address as they are ready.

We make changes and adjustments as you review. The build time depends on the number of pages and the complexity of the features.

  6. Launch & setup

We launch your finished website or system, handling everything needed to go live, including server, domain and email setup.

If there are admin screens, we show you how to use them online or in person and provide a written guide where needed. We support you until you are ready to run it day to day.

  7. Maintenance & improvements

After launch, we continue to support you with updates, fixes and updates to PHP and other software.

You can also come to us with improvements you notice once it is in use, or new features you find you need.

You can also ask for help only when you need it, without a maintenance plan.

Feel free to get in touch

Even if you are only at the stage of "We are not sure what to build" or "We want our work to run more efficiently", we will listen and work out what is needed together with you.
